Tan May Ling, appointed as Group Financial Controller of Oceanus Group on February 1, 2017, brings an extensive background with close to four decades of experience in finance and accounting across diverse industries. Her career spans various roles in companies from SMEs to multinational corporations, including notable positions at Trade Alliance (S) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Al-Futtaim Group, Fusion Cosmetics Pte Ltd, Samco Civil Engineering Pte Ltd and Borneo Sumatra Trading Co (S) Pte Ltd

Tan’s expertise covers a wide range of financial disciplines, such as audit, taxation, GST, and secretarial matters, underscoring her pivotal role in overseeing all accounting, financial, and corporate secretarial matters within the Group. Her tenure has been marked by significant achievements, including the company’s successful debt restructuring and removal from the SGX watchlist. Under her guidance, the finance team has diligently brought ACRA and SGX reporting up to date, showcasing her commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance.
